Vendor Spotlight: Jason Whorlow Entertainment

How long have you been in business and why did you decide to start?
I officially got my business up and running last year. I have been playing piano professionally and Emceeing weddings for years, however. Which is why I decided to make it my career. I love the environment of weddings and private parties. It’s easy to have fun in an already happy atmosphere.

Tell us one thing that sets your business apart!
My wedding entertainment has appealed to brides because of my versatile entertainment options. Whether you need a romantic live piano for the ceremony, a DJ for your reception or live interactive music, I’m able to meet any kind of needs necessary.

What’s your favorite aspect of your job?
I am humbled and honored to be chosen to help make memories on someone’s special day.

Give us a run down of your typical day.
I am lucky to be established enough in my career to support my two little girls along with my wife who also has a fulltime career. Which means, I am daddy daycare during the week, piano entertainer during the week night and Emcee extraordinaire for weddings on the weekends.

Any crazy wedding stories you want to share?
I enjoy the entire wedding process. From meeting the bride and groom to be, to learning their special songs to perform for their day and the honor of spending the evening with their families and close friends.

What is your main mission in business that you want your clients and followers to get?
My mission is to create crazy, hilarious or special memories at every wedding I’m a part of...I pride myself on that success!

Wedding Design: Sarah and Alec

Busting out with a brand new post category! Here is a look at the design proposals we create for our full planning and wedding design clients. This is just a tidbit of what we put together for them so that we can all be on the same page, communicate the correct style to vendors, and keep the whole day cohesive!

Sarah and Alec are tying the knot this coming June with a church ceremony and tent reception on Sarah's family's gorgeous property. A true ozark mountain wedding! Her feminine and delicate style mixed with a little outdoorsy rustic touch is the perfect mix of the couple's taste! Keep an eye out for more sweet details from this couple!

We start with a mood board to give a general feel of the design. It always includes a color palette, a photo collage or main image and a few adjectives to describe the feel!

Layouts are my FAVORITE. I love using layouts to add interest to an event and create the perfect flow. I try to put myself in the position of the guest and walk through the venue determining what would be the best use of space.

Sarah's style is very delicate/fancy meets comfortable/relaxed so I love the mix of tall traditional florals with the long rectangle tables having a mix of miniature florals and glittered jar candles.

Details are the best! One of the hardest parts of planning can be finding where to stretch the budget to allow for special details. There are so many unique ideas and ways to incorporate a style! The best tip is to make your details count by utilizing them at places you KNOW the guests will see them. The seating chart is a sure fire spot!

Real Wedding: Kira and Kyle's Reception

What amazing details Kira and Kyle had! From the chalkboard signage (see more in their ceremony post!) to their signature drinks, we loved it all. The green and white vintage library theme was played out beautifully in Rogers and Baldwin Historic Venue. They used touches of book-themed decor in their centerpieces and specialty areas so be on the lookout! We especially loved the library card table numbers that each told a story about the couple. The ones written by Kyle were adorable!

Real Wedding: Kira and Kyle's Portraits

I hope you adored the stunning photos from Kira and Kyle's ceremony earlier this week! These two were such an adorable couple that all their admiration and love for each other can't be captured in these photos. Our favorites are the ones that Regina Richards snagged of the couple as the sun set!

(How precious are those AME interns in total bridal beauty awe!)

(This moment was immediately after the ceremony as they made their way outside for photos. They just stopped in the middle of the sidewalk and hugged. So sweet and such a great memory for them!)

two of our favorites!

Real Wedding: Kira and Kyle's Ceremony

In April, Kira and Kyle got married at the historic Rogers and Baldwin located in downtown Springfield, MO. The vintage library theme and inspiration was as unique as this amazing couple. The details included intricate chalk lettering signage,  lace, and various old books - which tied everything together to make for a beautiful ceremony and day to remember.

Enjoy a few of the highlights from their ceremony!

Love this alter backdrop!
